Answer #1

Denormalisation is the process of adding additional data to normalised data that is organised and arranged objectively in a particular format or for a given subject or topic. Normalised data is created by removing any additional or unrequired data from the database. Denormalisation is done to avoid creating complex structures and instead add one or two additional columns or fields to relate the different sets of information or database for finding the needful information.

A practical example is the lists of passengers traveling through a particular airlines to a given city created by normalisation of data. Denormalisation is adding the data from different airlines to find out the total number of passengers traveling to the given city from a specific origin for broader overview.
