Data science is used for the purpose of analysing data to predict the future.

Commonalities:

1.Basically business intelligence and data science works on data for "data interpretation".

2.generally business analyst doesn't have time to analyze the whole data where they use data science for analysis which gives result in less time.

3.Both business intelligence and data science offers reliable decision support system for making decisions.

Differences:

1. Business intelligence is used to look backward depending on real time data where data science looks forward to predict the future.

2. Business intelligence requires pre-planned dataset where data science can have dynamic data set.

3. As business intelligence is an activity of business decision making,still remains as it is where as Data science is changed a lot to promise the more accurate required results.

4. Business intelligence have to work continuously to build the developed models where data scientist just have to make a model and provide data.
