1-.Carbon dioxide is dissolved in the blood (pH 7.4) to form a mixture of carbonic acid and bicarbonate. Disregarding free CO2, what fraction of carbonic acid will be present? Would you expect to find a significant amount of carbonate (CO32-)?

2-. The fermentation of the wine is produced by a biochemical reaction of a buffer consisting of tartaric acid and potassium acid tartrate. Assuming that at some point the concentration of potassium acid tartrate is twice that of tartaric acid, calculate the pH of the wine. The pKa of tartaric acid is 2.96.
