Answer #1

United States devotes fewer resources to renewable energy than many other developed countries because of various intrinsic reasons, some of them are:

  • Generation of renewable energy is expensive as compared to energy generation through fossil fuel or nuclear fuel
  • United States is fuel surplus country. Being in this surplus state prompts United States to utilize it for power generation rather than renewable energy.
  • Renewable energy is less efficient though it is more sustainable. United States has tremendous power requirement and renewable source at this juncture looks less attractive.
  • United States has a major investment in Nuclear Fuel as it has expertise and resources to manage the same.
  • Renewable source are less reliable source of energy. As against this United States with the huge power requirement requires more reliable source of energy.

These factors make United States different from other developed nations.

    1. Stop Burning Fossil Fuels Immediately (presented by WhaleHuggers, an environmentally-focused nonprofit) The burning of fossil fuels for energy, transportation, and manufacturing purposes is out of control and identified by the scientific community as a primary driver of climate change. Emissions from these fossil fuels significantly increase the concentration of atmosphere-warming greenhouse gases. It is the moral responsibility of governments across the globe, but especially developed and first-world countries, to immediately curtail these greenhouse gas emissions by rigorously pursuing alternative...

Since 2004, the solar energy industry has increased 53% fold in capacity. Thus, contributing to energy security by providing more diversity in the energy supply and reducing the dependency of fossil fuels which would reduce fuel import bills for many countries apart from the benefits of environmental protection Please analyse, evaluate, compare, justify and formulates...
