Answer #1

Serum therapy has many disadvantage over monoclonal antibody therapy. For example, serum therapy produce immediate side effects like fever & allergic reaction but monoclonal antibody has least side effects. Serum therapy causes serum sickness, and it is less efficient than monoclonal antibody therapy. Sometimes serum therapy fails to give the desired results, it require early diagnosis which takes lot of time to complete, it is high cost and more toxic compare to monoclonal antibody therapy. Monoclonal antibody therapy is much more specific and it can also be used against single pathogens.

Thus, we can say that monoclonal antibody therapy is superior to serum therapy.
