How long does it take, at a minimum, to acquire data for an 3D ultrasound image with a field of view of 10cm3 (10x10x10 cm3) at 1mm resolution in all 3 directions?
Hello,
Please find
the answer attached as under. Please give a thumbs up
rating if you find the answer useful! Have a rocking day
ahead!
With a 1mm resolution, number of data points along a single axis = 10x10 = 100.
Thus, number of data points in total for sampling = 1003 = 106
For each sample, an average sampling time would take 0.1 seconds. Thus total time required for obtaining the 3d image data = 0.1x106 seconds = 27 hours
If sampling time is reduced to 0.01 seconds per sample, total time taken = 0.27 hours
