In the Finance class, we learned about various techniques such as cost of capital which was the hurdle rate or the minimum rate of return which should be generated by an investment project in order for the project to be accepted

Then we learned how to develop the profit and loss statements based on principle of revenue recognition and also how assets and liabilities are to be recorded on balance sheets. Based on these two, we understood how the cash flow statement has to be prepared. We also understood the impact of investment in foreign currency and how forwards and options can help in reducing foreign exchange risk
