Please help. What does learning, piety, and virtue have to do with education and self-growth? How does this motto impact someone? Can you give some examples that relate to those 3 words?
Piety is allied with the facet of being attached with religious aspects. Religions have been treated as the source of ethics and following the normative frameworks that have their origin in the religious contexts is the core part of piety.
Learning refers to the respect from the bottom of the heart towards the seniors/ elders/ more experienced and people with more expertise. I has been observed that if these people are respected and followed, they will always tend to be a lighthouse for the good and just behaviours.
Virtue is related to the righteousness, purity and the worthiness of a person. Being cultivated through the virtues blossoms life and goodness/ love/ every positive trait is scattered to the people around.
Basically, the above mentioned three concepts are having their roots in Confucian philosophy and even in the holy books related to Christianity.
Practising these three indeed helps/ assists in the personal growth as well as the achievement of the organisational goals. The above mentioned motto leads a person gradually to self actualisation through imbibing appropriate prerequisites.
For example, according to Aristotle, a virtuous life is the one that neither follows deficiency nor excess but it is lived with the mean between these two. Thus, it means that a person should neither be a cowardice nor rashness but the same person should possess courage.
