Answer-

The first law of thermodynamics: It states that change in the internal energy of the system is equal to the difference in net heat transfer and net work done by the system.

Isobaric process: The process in which pressure held constant, the force exerted constant and work done equal to p.

The first law of thermodynamics-

  • It's basically the law of conservation of energy(the energy can neither be created nor be destroyed it can change one form to another form).
  • It is having basic equation, (Q is the net heat transferred to the system and W is the net heat transfer into the system)
  • The isobaric expansion of gas requires heat transfer to maintain constant pressure.
  • The isobaric process, because the pressure is constant the force exerted would also be constant.

Internal Energy: The internal energy of a system is the sum of all energies inside of it considering kinetic energy and potential energy.

Example-

A cylinder with a movable piston, isolated system and the pressure is maintained atmospheric pressure inside of it. At constant pressure, if gas is to be expanded, heat would be transferred to the system is called isobaric expansion.
