The organization that I have selected is Nike. Nike’s organizational structure is flat. In Nike there are few levels of management between the senior management and staff level employees. In Nike there is minimal supervision of employees and the company consists of several divisions that are separated into subsidiaries. In case of Nike its teams are divided on the basis of products and each team report to a separate product manager. Nike has a total of 44 subsidiaries across the globe. Nike’s flat structure allows it to systematically focus on innovation and make quick but wise decisions. This gives the company its competitive advantage as well.
