The two models- threshold and non threshold dose response curves are different from each other if a dose concentration is plotted against the response. Threshold model explains that when a dose of any drug exceeds a particular concentration then further increase in dose will increase risk. This particular concentration is called threshold. In non threshold model, there is always a risk associated with dose no matter how small that dose is.

The threshold dose response curve is sigmoid and non threshold dose response curve is linear.

All the cancerous drugs are example of non threshold dose response curve and the non cancerous drugs are example of threshold dose response curve.
