Answer #1

Ans. Calvin cycle:- It is also called as the dark reaction. In all oxygenic photosynthetic organism it occirs. Here CO2 reduction and fixation occurs through carbon reduction cycle. It is also called as the reductive pentose phosphate cycle or c3 cycle. In this cycle CO2 is reduced to three carbon suger. It occur in the stroma of chloroplast. It consists of 3 steps.

1. Carboxylation.

2.Reduction.

3.Regeneration.

ATP and NADPH required in C3 plants:- in C3 plants , it consume total of 9 molecules of ATP and 6 molecules of NADPH for synthesis of the glyceraldehyde -3-phosphate.

in C4 plants:- in C4 plants 15 ATP and 6 NADPH are required for the synthesis of 1 molcule of the glyceraldehyde -3- phosphate.
