Some of the current ( 2019-2018) company problem and issues that Ford is facing are decline in its profit margins due to rising raw materials cost and competitive pricing in Asian markets. Other problem is lack of clear communication and strategy from the company regarding the future plans of vehicles to be launched, technologies to be used and the way forward to achieve its growth plans. The third issue it is facing it huge investment costs for restructuring so as to maintain its competitive edge and innovation for future. It has planned to focus on SUVs and commercial bigger vehicles which is a risk.

The recommendations to fix these problems and issues are the company should adopt an approach which is researched, analysed, recommended by industry experts and have maximum chances of success considering its customer base , emerging trends and resources.

Those recommendations can be implemented by planning initiatives my measurable actions and targets. The incremental stages to achieve the growth and degrading the goals in categories and regions can make more clear the roles and resources required. It is important to check market and customer feedback on the strategies being planned so that there are indications that the choices made will lead to market growth and sales.
