In this problem, the hospital claims that the mean age of its staff members is greater than 50.1 years.

let denote the average age of the staff members of the hospitals. ( is the population mean).

So the testing problem is,

The above testing problem is clearly right tailed as is clear by the alternate hypothesis   .[since , the test is right tailed]
