In e-commerce world, Omni-channel and multichannel retailing are popular as multichannel retailing is carried out by using many channels for product selling and customer engagement (for example, web portals, social media sites, etc.). Each of these channel offer separate retailing options. Whereas, Omni channel relates with the single customer experience among different brand by merging sales and marketing together. Multichannel retailing offers different choices to the based on the customer choice for the brand and the target market (e.g. website, different marketplaces, social websites, mobile apps, etc.). Whereas, Omni channel retail offers lot of awareness at each customer lifecycle. This helps customers to buy a product from anywhere (either store or between different channels). Overall, Omni channel merges all the channels in the unified view for the customer to showcase products and related messages. Thus, Omni channel retailing offers flexible customer experience as compared to the multichannel retailing.
