You work for a software house. Your team are asked to help a client in the development of a large and complex web application that is running on a tight schedule and budget. In a module contributed by a fellow developer, you notice a serious number of security holes that you believe would leave the client at high risk of being hacked with disastrous consequences. Fixing the holes would require extra time and budget. You discuss the situation with your team leader who suggests that you ignore the problem. Should you protest and/or inform the client nevertheless?
