I am an HR Manager and its my responsibility to process the attendance report of the employees of the company. Our company has the norm that each employee needs to work for 9 hours everyday to get the attendance approved for the day. I generate the monthly attendance report and share it with the accounts department, who release the monthly compensation for the employees, based on the hours which they worked in the last month.

The output of my task is the generation of the monthly attendance report of all employees in the company

Importance of the output: The monthly attendance report is used by the accounts department of the company to prepare the salary slips of the employees and release the monthly compensation for them.

a. Brief description of the process: The employees need to punch in their attendance while entering the work-space for the day and punch out before leaving for the day. These punch-ins and punch-outs are recorded in the centralized ERP (enterprise resource planning) software. At the beginning of the new month, its my duty to generate attendance report for the employees for the last month. This is an automated process and does not require my intervention. However, I have to check for any kind of attendance discrepancies which may have affected the attendance of the employees. This needs to be done manually as 100% accuracy must be maintained because the salaries of the employees is based on this calculation. Once I am 100% satisfied, the final work hours for each employee is shared with the accounts department, who prepare the salary slip for each employee and generate their salary for that month.
