Find a current (within the last 6 months) news item or media piece that addresses at least one of the themes of the class and is relevant to readings/discussions. Acceptable sources are news articles/stories, editorials, video clips, interviews, movies, song lyrics, magazine articles, and/or organizational/group activities. Recently I heard a news about suicide of an entrepreneur in India. He was the owner of restaurant chain "Cafe Coffee Day". It is a famous group in India and many other parts of the globe. Last time the owner was seen walking on a river bridge. Few days later his body was found 9 kilometers away from his last spotting.

A suicide note has been found which clearly shows that he was depressed about his financial conditions. He ended his life because he was under huge debt. He had demanded apologies from his employees for causing financial burden on them.

It is also evident from his suicide note that he was undergoing acute phases of depression. He was considering himself as sole responsible for the financial crunch of his organisation. He did cut himself from social gatherings. He started spending most of his time in solitary environment.

This case clearly shows the ill impacts of depression and other other psychological stress. Earlier he was a successful person. He had fought against the odds and had already created a good brand name with a good reach in various parts of world.

Depression caused lost of his restraint power. He became surrounded by unreasonable fears. His loneliness increased his agony to an extent which ended up on a lethal point. Depression causes long lasting sad effects. It creates a sense of loss of hope.

Depression also causes loss of interest in daily routine activities. It is also related with change in sleep patterns. It's symptoms keep on worsening day by day.
