Talking about similarity both Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa are a kind of eating disorder and they both arouse due to uneven body shape or distorted figure. Anorexia Nervosa results in severe reduction in consumption of food in order to lose weight and get in a good shape, whereas bulimia nervosa have a similar background like anorexia of losing weight but by intaking a large amount of food and then follow purging in order to prevent an excess gain in weight.
Behavioural, physical and various emotional changes can be seen in patient with anorexia and bulimia nervosa such symptoms are similar for both aspects like, severe weight loss, insomnia, dehydration, constipation, muscle weakness and fatigue, fainting, dizziness, and unable to tolerate cold. Emotional symptoms are like, mood swings, poor self-esteem, irritation, depression and anxiety.
Treatment for both anorexia and bulimia nervosa are same at certain aspects like, improving the relationship between food and the person, finding the root cause of such behaviour and maintain a proper diet chart and intake calories so that the situation didn’t get worse, and modify or regulate the cause of unhealthy behaviour to prevent future problems.
