Do you think that job sequences is the best strategy for IKEA? Do you think there are better strategies?
Answer - Job sequence strategy helps an organization set a particular order of doing jobs to ensure that jobs are done within a minimum possible time thereby minimizing time but maximizing the efficiency of delivery as the idle time of the job gets reduced or eliminated. For companies like IKEA, this strategy of job sequencing will enable them to manufacture products on time reducing idle time, so that their inventory flow is maintained and delivery of products are on time contributing to the company's brand equity through customer satisfaction.
Another strategy that IKEA could benefit from is Optimization. Optimization is easy to implement, heuristically efficient, compatible with the existing module strategy that shall enable IKEA to step up their production process and attain total quality control on time.
