List and briefly define the difference between life cycle stages of humans and other primates.
When it comes to the life cycle stages of human and primates, there are considerable differences as they both go significant changes. The human bodies undergo changes throughout their life, the growth pattern changes and the requirement of nutrition also changes. When it comes to human life, the life cycle starts with formation of a zygote when a woman is pregnant that gradually forms an embryo and fetus and is born. After birth, the child is called as infant who gradually becomes toddler when one is two to three years. When a human is between 4 to 8 years, he or she is in his childhood that gradually becomes puberty stage from 9 to 12 years and adolescence from 14 to 18. Once the human becomes above 19, they are considered as adult, followed by middle age from 31 to 60 and then senior or old as they age above 60 years.
When it comes to the life cycle of the primates, all the primates have different life cycle and their growth and age differs. The first step is called as gestation and this is when they are from 4 to 8 months and inside the womb. The gestation period lasts for 4 to 8 months. After the primate is born, it is called as the babyhood and they generally live on the back of their mother and it generally last for up to 18 months. During this stage, they learn various skills, learn socialization and other things needed for their life. This is followed by adulthood starting from 18 months and last up to 8 years.
