The objective of of eqyuivalent units is to allocate the cost of production to completed and in progress units accordingly.

Equivalent units of work in progress = Units x Percentage of completion = 5,200 x 50% = 2,600 units

Equivalent units of production = 8,200 + 2,600 = 10,800 units
