Yes, we do enjoy working in teams because working in team provides lot of benefits, encouragement, and motivation. Working in team helps in working together with sharing the responsibilities and doing the project in small piece of tasks assigned to individual team members and when the all executes their task, the large task gets complete and the team is rewarded for the same. Hence team work is the best approach for executing complex and toughest work, as it breaks the works in small pieces and can easily get executed with different team members.

Virtual teams: Virtual teams are the great concept, that provides the opportunity to seek the help of different team members located at virtual locations or distance locations and they can support the project work with the online approach or network approach and they can executed their task from their different locations without getting collected at one location. Virtual team helps to form a team from any corner of the world and they can support the project or team work from any location in the world with the help of technology support.

If I am going to assign virtual teamwork in our online course, we would select 3-5 students to each group because the team with 3-5 students can make the best team with meeting all the team characteristics and they will be suitable for executing the virtual tasks assigned to them.

The team of 3-5 members makes the best combination, as they can easily get paed from the team/group stages of forming, norming, storming and performing. They can easily get to the same level and make adequate communication among them and can work together to achieve desired task.

We will select the team/group members based on the random selection approach, if all the members are of the similar skill set and competency levels. If the members are of not the similar skill set or competency level, then we need to select the people based on required skill set and competency level
