On your first day on the job, your boss asks you to conduct a hypothesis test about the mean dwell time of a new type of UAV. H) Provide an illustration of the hypothesis test you conducted above, making sure that you annotate: the confidence level, the significance level, the test statistic, the critical value, and the p-value.

The test statistic formula for this test is given as below:

t = (Xbar - µ)/[S/sqrt(n)]

From given information, we have

Xbar = 10.4

µ = 10

S = 0.5

n = 5

df = n – 1 = 5 – 1 = 4

α = 0.01

Critical t value = 3.7469

t = (Xbar - µ)/[S/sqrt(n)]

t = (10.4 - 10)/[0.5/sqrt(5)]

t = 0.4/ 0.2236

t = 1.7889

Test statistic = t = 1.7889

df = n – 1 = 5 – 1 = 4
