Vitamin E is a group of tocopherols and tocotrienols. 8 tocopherols have been identified. Tocopherols are derivative of 6-hydroxyz chromane ring with isoprenoid chain.
Functions -

It protects PUFA (polyunsaturated fatty acids) from peroxidation.
