Let three capacitor C1,C2 and C3 are conneted in series then

Equivalent capacitor is given by

1/Ceq=1/C1+1/C2+1/C3

So

Ceq=(C1C2C3)/(C1C2+C1C3+C2C3)

If

One Capacitor C3 is removed

then

Ceq=C1C2/(C1+C2)

Then Equivalent capacitance will increase.
