A certain CD has a playing time of 78 minutes. When the music starts, the CD is rotating at an angular speed of 4.50×1024.50×102revolutions per minute (rpm). At the end of the music, the CD is rotating at 2.00×1022.00×102 rpm. Find the magnitude of the average angular acceleration of the CD. Express your answer in rad/s².

Answer #1

Using 1st equation of motion

a = ( w2 - w1) /t

a = (2* 3.14 / 60)* ( 200 - 450) / (78* 60)

a = 5.59 x 10^-3 rad/sec^2
