Siemens AG way nack in 2009 faced 800 million dollar fines largely due to violation of US FCPA laws by extrapolation of figures and income statements, misrepresentation of facts and bribery and hence was found guilty ofbreach of ethical code of conduct.

However, the ethical dilemma faced here was that firm tried manipulation of fugures and disgorgement just to showcase higher profitability and increased market capitalization and increased investor confidence.

The case is largely interesting above all because the organisation had strict auditing practices like Saebanes Oxley Audit which still could not realise manipulation in first place making it mockery of frauds.
