Website technologies-Present websites are made with the help of countless technologies. Various factors must be a portion of the decision, like vendor’s knowledge, cooperative team talents, progress and licensing costs, and company’s internal guidelines, maintainability, website performance, scalability for development and more. Proceeding to determine which technology is accurate for a website, it is vital that one should understand every building blocks of the website. Every layer presents a specific technology which has its individual purpose and functions. JavaScript, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are some important components of a website. Another technology which is client-side is known as Flash. A programming language like Java, PHP, Ruby, ASP.NET, MySQL are some technology layers which helps to operate on a server.

Tools-Website designers use a set of tools to built dynamic websites. Wordpress or Drupal makes life much easier as the components on Drupal supports many security features and basic structures like framework to modify. Using CSS, one can style own installation and create appearances. Other tools are Responsinator, Mixpanel Flow, Leaflet, Mozilla Thimble, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Panic Coda, Photoshop, Firefox developer, etc.

Software- Software plays an essential role while building eye-catching websites. Some of the softwares are Adobe Dreamweaver, WebFlow, Adobe Muse, Sketch, Macaw, Marvel, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Some Website development Software are Text editors, Apache, CMS, WAMP, Git, PHPMyAdmin, Sublime Text, and many more.

The capabilities and relationships between front-end and back-end website technologies-

Front-end is the portion of a website which one can view and interact directly in order to get the back-end capabilities of a system. It also involves all which a user can view, experience, and touch. Mainly, everything which occurs behind the scenes is attributed to a back-end website development. The developers maintain everything which does not relate for producing a user-interface like adding utilities, writing APIs, making libraries, the website designer creates. They handle communication among the business layer and the presentation layer. Back End technologies mean programming languages. There are many back-ends developers are there who know front-end languages like CSS and HTML but require to use languages like ASP.Net, Java, Python, Ruby, PHP to acquire the back-end work completed. Back-end designers are mainly attentive on sites speed and responsiveness. Front-end and back-end team make a system essential for an application to function accurately. The word front-end refers to the presentation layer of the framework which is the user interface, and back-end refers to the server, which is database and application layer of the framework which perform behind the prospects to provide information to a user.

The differences between online website creation tools and custom built sites-

Website creating tools are not made to deliver digital solutions. They can be customized to an extent. Custom built websites is made with a team which works behind a business. By creating innovative procedures to understand what is the target, whom to reach, and how the need of the website is performing. Search Engine Optimization plays an important role in custom built sites.

  • Flexibility- Online website creation tools are flexible, but it can be difficult for beginners. While custom-built sites are more flexible and it can grow well as there are no boundaries of functionality and graphics.
  • Performance- The speed can be slow and SEO performance can weigh down in website creation tools. Whereas the performance of custom built sites is high. Search engine optimization is high loading time is low.
  • Functionality- A custom site can be easily programmed to do a job and there are no limitations of functionality. But functionality can be limited in website creation tools as other types of custom applications can be difficult to add.
  • User Experience (UX)- Responsive website design in custom built sites helps a site to adjust some versions of mobile devices, iPads, and tablets like a landing page, blog pages, portfolio pages are available. Where security can be a problem in website creation tools as it can be vulnerable for hackers. Another is less room for customization.
  • User Interface (UI)- For cutting downtime, many organizations choose custom built websites for making a quick and responsive website. It takes lots of time using online website creation tools to make websites. So a designer can reflect brand standards while making an interface design. Sometime tools may not do by default.
