2) Using specific examples describe the homeostasis and negative
feedback in humans.
Answer: The term homeostasis means a tendency to resist change. It
is a balanced state which does not allow the state to go in either
direction. Homeostasis is important to maintain the constant
internal environment in the body. One of the most common and
best-studied examples of homeostasis is body internal temperature
control.
Negative feedback loop. The negative feedback loop operates to
regulate body temperature. The receptors present in the skin and
brain sense the temperature. They relay this information to the
temperature-regulatory regions of the brain. This control center
will then activate effectors to increase the sweat gland
secretion.
Homeostasis: Condition 1: Rise in body temperature:
Blood vessels dilate, it increases the heat loss by skin. Sweat
glands secrete sweat. Sweat evaporates and takes away the heat from
the skin surface.
Body temperature returns to normal
Condition 2: Body temperature falls
Blood vessels contract
Sweat glands stop the fluid secretion
Involuntary muscle rigorous contraction to cause shivering, it
generates heart
Body temperature brought back to normal.
3)Define Taxonomy, nomenclature, systematics, and
classification. In order of sequence for the most general to the
most specific, list all components of the Linnaean classification
Hierarchy.
Solution:
Taxonomy is the science of naming, defining which classifies the
organisms based on certain shared characteristics.
NOmenclature: It is a system of giving names to the organisms
within a classification system. It provides specific scientific
names based on genus and species to which an organism
belongs.
Systematics: It is the science of studying the diversification of
living forms, which lived in the past and which live in present. It
establishes the relationship between organisms through time.
Classification: It is the science of grouping organisms belonging
to a certain groups or taxa on the basis of their
relationships.

First, read the article on "The Delphi Method for Graduate Research." ------ Article is posted below Include each of the following in your answer (if applicable – explain in a paragraph) Research problem: what do you want to solve using Delphi? Sample: who will participate and why? (answer in 5 -10 sentences) Round one questionnaire: include 5 hypothetical questions you would like to ask Discuss: what are possible outcomes of the findings from your study?
