Are leadership skills exhibited the same way by men and women? By older and younger workers? By people from different cultures?

Leadership skills or abilities depends upon the individual characteristics, knowledge, experience, perception and skills. Therefore leadership skills shown by the way men and women, older and younger workers, people from different culture leads largely differs as :

a. Due to behavioral differences between the men and women, where women show more cooperative, empathetic approach towards their followers or coworkers men try to be command and control oriented while showing self branding that is showing their successes and strengths where women lack as they usually are modest or silent about their successes or achievements.

b. The older generation in leadership positions are usually Traditionalist or Baby boomers who like to follow traditional hierarchy structure while leading and controlling the team, where as younger workers belonging to Generation X or Millennials fosters the culture of innovation and participation where each member of team has a say in decision making process and their opinions are considered.

c. People from different cultures shows different leadership styles or more inclination towards their own ethnicity and posses different opinions due to their upbringing and difference in opinions as compared to other members of team. While some leaders from different cultures shows a multi-cultural approach which is beneficial for the organization.
