Answer #1

The correct answer is - the species will probably loose genetic diversity.

As the prey population will be less becausw if the high numver of predators ,all the above will occur except disappearance of genetic diversity which is know as genetic make up of organism which is not dependent upon predator population.

Please give a thumbs up.

Genetic drift can be an important evolutionary process. This is due to the fact that (A natural selection acting on the genetic variation of a large population B small isolated populations are unable to defend themselves from predators, therefore they loos genetic diversity. Natural selection, in this case, has less variation to work with. C when genetic drift is the only evolutionary process at work, one allele may be lost forever and the other may become fixed (100% frequency). D)...

17.You are a geneticist studying the population genetics of Monarch butterflies. You are particularly interested in one gene for which the species has two alleles: B and b. Upon examining the alleles present in 100 individuals, you find that the B allele is very common, with an allele frequency of .6. Therefore, you calculate that there are a total of _______ b alleles present in the population. Group of answer choices A) 60 B) 80 C) 100 D) 120 E)...
