Answer #1

1- Of course, the global health is seen as an industry because there are numerous issues, most of which are the very contemporary disorders that are the aftermath of the changed lifestyles due to liberalisation, privatisation, globalisation, industrialisation and the acceleration of the technological development.

Diabetes, cardiac disorders, women and children related problems, accidental cases, sexual disorders and the mental/ psychological loss/ unsound health are the critical facets of the most of the third world countries.

The pharmaceutical innovations, recent medications on the basis of research and development department's attempts, the concentration on the medical field personnel with an expertise and the manufacturing of products, equipments, software and services related to the healthcare are the attributes within the scope of business related to such healthcare system.

Therefore health issues are seen as industry that is having a huge potential for marketers dealing with these allied products. There lie huge future profits in this opportunity, if these segments are served.

2- Poverty as well tends to be an industry in some regards. The best observation in this context can be the pioneering foundations of "The future at the bottom of the pyramid" suggested and illustrated by the legend Indian Management Personality, Mr. C. K. Prahlad.

His studies and research reflected that the best and the broader profits for the commercial organisations and the twenty first century marketers lie in serving the down trodden and people belong to the poverty line.

This segment also needs products and they wish for not a qualitative product but a generic one that will offer them a sense of satisfaction. This is how the products in their "smallest" formats/ fast moving consumer goods like shampoo sachets were launched which are having huge demands.
