Answer #1

Cystic fibrosis is an autosomal recessive disorder. The disease affects lungs, pancreas, kidneys, intestines and liver. The disease occurs due to mutation in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance (CFTR) gene.

Pseudomonas aureginosa is a bacteria that infects cystic fibrosis patients after the mucoid secretions clog and instruct their airways in lungs. The bacteria attaches to TLR4 and PIP2 receptors and alters membrane transport pathway in the respiratory pathways.
