#2: How does Porter apply to Tucker? ByJeff Bridges,
In the movie "Tucker" there were several moments of marketing. The car which was shown in the movie was very different from the cars which were being manufactured post 2nd World War. A windshield which is safe, collapsible steering are various unique features which were then introduced as the main feature of the car. Various movie critics said that the car which was shown in the movie looked like a spaceship which was incredible. These all are considered as the several marketing moments of the movie Tucker.
The movie "Trucker" reveals the entrepreneurship quality of an entrepreneur. This movie was highly influenced from the theories and the sayings of the management guru Michael Porter. According to Porter it is very difficult to enter in to the automobile business but a passion of a man and a man with dreams can help him/her to make it big. According to Porter innovation can help an organisation to get competitive advantage. In this movie introduction of a genius idea has been shown. According to Porter Perseverance is also considered as one of the important skill of an entrepreneur. The movie helps us to understand that it is not right to say no to one's passion. This is how the theory of Michael Porter gets applied to the movie Trucker.
