Answer #1

A) Nitric acid = HNO3 and Potassium Carbonate = K2CO3

K2CO3 + HNO3 -------> H2O + CO2 + KNO3

1) Molecular equation:

K2CO3 (aq.) + 2HNO3(aq.) -------> H2O (l) + CO2(g) + 2KNO3(aq.)

2) Ionic equation:

2K+(aq.) + CO32- (aq.) + 2H+(aq.) + 2NO3-(aq.)  -------> 2K+(aq.) + 2NO3-(aq.) + CO2 (g) + H2O (l)

3) Net ionic equation:

After cancelling spectator ion we got net ionic equation like this,

CO32- (aq.) + 2H+(aq.) ------> CO2 (g) + H2O (l).

B) Sodium Bromide (NaBr) and Lead Nitrate (Pb(NO3)2)

NaBr(aq.) + Pb(NO3)2 (aq.) ----> PbBr2 (s) + NaNO3 (aq.)

1) Molecular equation:

2NaBr (aq.) + Pb(NO3)2 (aq.) ----> PbBr2 (s) + 2NaNO3 (aq.)

2) Ionic equation:

2Na+(aq.) + 2Br-(aq.) + Pb2+(aq.) + 2NO3-(aq.) -------> PbBr2 (s) + 2Na+(aq.) + 2NO3-(aq.)

3) Net ionic equation:

Pb2+(aq.) + 2Br-(aq.) ------> PbBr2 (s)

C) Acetic acid ( CH3COOH) and Calcium hydroxide ( Ca(OH)2)

1) Molecular equation:

2CH3COOH + Ca(OH)2 -----> Ca(CH3COO)2 + 2H2O

2) Ionic equation:

2CH3COO-(aq.) + 2H+(aq.)+ Ca2+(aq.) + 2OH-(aq.) -------> Ca2+ (aq.) + 2CH3COO-(aq.) + 2H2O(l)

3) Net ionic equation:

2H+(aq.) + 2OH-(aq.) ------> 2H2O (l) .

D) Calcium nitrate ( Ca(NO3)2 ) and Sodium sulphate (Na2SO4).

1) Molecular equation:

  Ca(NO3)2 (aq.) + Na2SO4 (aq.) ------> CaSO4 (s) + 2NaNO3 (aq.)

2) Ionic equation:

Ca2+(aq.) + 2NO3-(aq.) + 2Na+(aq.) + SO4-(aq.) ------> CaSO4 (s) + 2Na+(aq.) + 2NO3-(aq.)

3) Net ionic equation:

Ca2+(aq.) + SO4-(aq.) -------> CaSO4 (s)

E) Ammonium chloride and Lithium hydroxide:

1) Molecular equation:

NH4Cl(aq.) + LiOH(aq.) -----> NH3 (g) + LiCl(aq.) + H2O(l)

2) Ionic equation:

NH4+(aq.) + Cl-(aq.) + Li+(aq.) + OH-(aq.) -------> NH3 (g) + Li+(aq.) + Cl-(aq.) + H2O(l).

3) Net Ionic equation:

NH4+(aq. + OH-(aq.) -------> NH3 (g) + H2O (l).

I hope this will help you. If any queries regarding this please comment here. Thank you.

Answer #2

A) Nitric Acid and Potassium Carbonate:

Molecular equation: HNO3(aq) + K2CO3(aq) → 2KNO3(aq) + CO2(g) + H2O(l)

Complete ionic equation: 2H+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + 2K+(aq) + CO32-(aq) → 2K+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + CO2(g) + H2O(l)

Net ionic equation: 2H+(aq) + CO32-(aq) → CO2(g) + H2O(l)

B) Sodium Bromide and Lead Nitrate:

Molecular equation: 2NaBr(aq) + Pb(NO3)2(aq) → 2NaNO3(aq) + PbBr2(s)

Complete ionic equation: 2Na+(aq) + 2Br-(aq) + Pb2+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) → 2Na+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + PbBr2(s)

Net ionic equation: 2Br-(aq) + Pb2+(aq) → PbBr2(s)

C) Acetic Acid and Calcium Hydroxide:

Molecular equation: 2CH3COOH(aq) + Ca(OH)2(aq) → Ca(CH3COO)2(aq) + 2H2O(l)

Complete ionic equation: 2CH3COOH(aq) + Ca2+(aq) + 2OH-(aq) → Ca(CH3COO)2(aq) + 2H2O(l)

Net ionic equation: 2H+(aq) + 2OH-(aq) → 2H2O(l)

D) Calcium Nitrate and Sodium Sulfate:

Molecular equation: Ca(NO3)2(aq) + Na2SO4(aq) → CaSO4(s) + 2NaNO3(aq)

Complete ionic equation: Ca2+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + 2Na+(aq) + SO42-(aq) → CaSO4(s) + 2Na+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq)

Net ionic equation: Ca2+(aq) + SO42-(aq) → CaSO4(s)

E) Ammonium Chloride and Lithium Hydroxide:

Molecular equation: NH4Cl(aq) + LiOH(aq) → LiCl(aq) + NH4OH(aq)

Complete ionic equation: NH4+(aq) + Cl-(aq) + Li+(aq) + OH-(aq) → Li+(aq) + Cl-(aq) + NH4OH(aq)

Net ionic equation: NH4+(aq) + OH-(aq) → NH4OH(aq)
