The mode of transportation the organization used is sea transportation. It is used by the organization as its more suitable to transport higher volume of goods which occupy more space. The transportation is planned by sea considering the available lead times and the economic option as compared to other transportation modes. It is greener mode of transportation and with availability of number of options it can be planned easily. It saves lot of time and costs for managing the transportation and logistics. The coverage by ocean mode is developing and expanding thus making it more a feasible mode of transportation.

The factor which is the main reason is the weight for choosing ocean mode of transportation. It is an economical and more feasible option for items and goods which require lot of space and are high volume products. It requires planning as per the lead times and schedule which can save lot of costs and resources if done timely and is suitable for transportation of large number of goods over large distances.

The organization is using the right mode of transportation in my opinion as it is suitable for long term solution to the business considering the high volume of goods transportation. Since it is planned in advance and with availability of capacity the transportation is well managed in an efficient manner. It is more greener mode of transportation and with evolving trends it is becoming more well organized and better in scope for transportation over long distances.
