Colonoscopy = Lie on the left side on an exam table.

Cervical examination = lithotomy position.

Patient with severe asthma = advised sleeping in a supine position throughout every night.

Patient with severe bleeding = If the left lung is bleeding then should be placed in theleft-side down decubitus position and if the right lung is bleeding the should be placed right-side down decubitus position.

Surgery of the spine = The prone position is where the patient lies face down and is commonly used for access to the posterior head, neck, and spine during spinal surgery.

C-Section = It should be tilted laterally, upwards, downwards or flexed and wedges or cushions could be used.

During a normal baby delivery = cephalic presentation.

Heart surgery = breastbone heals, sleeping upright in a bed or recliner.

Heart surgery = Sims position.

To take blood pressure = sit or lie comfortably. The arm should be fully supported on a flat surface at heart level.
