Answer #1

Answer.

In the current age of online circulation of information, individuals, institutions and the entire State are showing an increasing dependence on building, and exchanging information about citizens in order to establish greater internal security. However, this easy and rapid circulation of information also poses a relatively large risk to states as  maximum of the information is online and prone to cyber  attacks and they pose serious implications such as economic crashes and drain of public funds through breakdown of the security systems of national banks ( privacy International, 2018), social paranoia by instigating political tensions and conspiracy theories and even  threat to National defense etc. especially when politically powerful individuals sell important national secrets to external military agencies or hire internet trolls  to spread conspiratorial and misleading information ( Bowen 2009).

As more and more developed states are building electronic surveillance to identify and monitor people, personally owned electronic devices have posed  risks of ever-increasing internal security threats as state intelligence bureaus and cyber hackers have a ready access to all our bank details, social security numbers, medical history, etc. just a click away and our personal information can be built against us.
