There is one claim which says "If all employees are required to work on quality improvement activities, their productivity will suffer." The argument is that quality improvement activities will cost employees extra time and energy. This statement and explanation sound reasonable. What's your opinion on this statement? Do you agree with it, or not? Why?

Yes, the explanation of the statement is definitely correct but it is needed to identify whether the statement's point of view is effective. When employees focus on the quality of products and not on quantity, they need to focus on detailed matters which generally drains much time and energy. So, most of the companies focus on productivity to earn maximum profit. Although there are many companies that consider focusing on quality improvement, they fear that their production level would suffer. This problem can be solved when a company hires high skilled employees for the production processes. Besides, in my opinion, it is better to produce quality products of less amount than producing more amount of poor quality products. At least it would make a customer happy when they get good quality products and they would become loyal to the brand which increases future sales and a good reputation. It is also true that a company needs to provide quality products to its customers for the long term secure position in the competitive market.
