I want to ask question about additive cipher

The message is more secure if we encrypts the message two times with additive cipher. Is this true or false? Why?

In additive cipher, we simply shift the plain text by a certain constant number which is key for encryption.

For example: If key=4

A becomes E

B becomes F etc.

If we encrypt the message two times with additive cipher simply we can see that

A becomes E then becomes I

B becomes F then becomes J

which doesn't provide more security because it can be seen as a single additive cipher with key=8

So the above statement that "The message is more secure if we encrypt the message two times with additive cipher." is False
