I believe the shortage of nurses can be fixed by putting resources for students in united states that are wanting to pursue a career in nursing. Many times, students who want to become nurses cannot afford it and it is the reason why they do not apply. As a student nurse I can see why going to school can be a challenge. I am a mother of two boys and also a full-time student. I rarely have time to work and it is sometimes difficult to figure out who will watch my children. Having resources such as day care, more scholarships or school programs can help people apply and maybe want to pursue this career. Recruiting nurses from foreign countries isn’t a bad idea though, this had to take a lot of time and effort to build. Putting resources here will also take a lot of effort but if it was managed well and people had goals that were manageable, I do believe the shortage of nurses could eventually be fixed.

Shortage of nursing personnel keeps on increasing every year. They are a number of reasons presents behind this. As a student, you will have some problems, but when getting into the nursing profession the problems may differ such as Job dissatisfaction, high-level stress environment, inconvenient work timings, increased workload, pressure from high authorities, lack of incentives, etc. Of course, Resources satisfies the nursing student in some way, but the nursing curriculum, strategies, legislation, all to be reformed to meet the needs of the nurses. This only makes the students enter more into the nursing career and minimizes the turnover. Putting resources is one of the idea and resources itself will not resolve the issues.
