Answer-(a) Agent orange and insecticide causes uncoupling of respiration from energy production. It inhibit oxidative phosphorylation step as a result of this lesser ATP is produced. To compensate this energy requirement cell undergo more and more cycles so that large number of ATP can be produced. As a result hyperventilation is seen.
