Formal systems are those systems which are formed by the management of the organization between various groups and in this authority and responsibility is clearly fixed. Also everyone knows who has to report to whom.Thus there is a clear relation between different persons and seniors and juniors are clearly known.But if we see informal systems,in this the relationship is created by the persons working by themselves only.They start interacting with each other and try to be friendly in the organization.The motive in informal system is to just satisfy psychological needs.Thus we can understand what the major difference is between the two and both the systems perform the functions to achieve the aims and objectives of the organization in a specified period of time.But the informal systems can have negative impact on the organizational poitics if such systems unite with each other and make the management of the organization pressurise enough to fulfil their demands.Thus it depends on the different types of systems formed as how they effect the organization.Sometimes there might be no negative effect on organizational politics.
