Current leadership as a head nurse we are responsible for
patient care and administrative duties. I have 10 years of
experience as a registered nurse for getting this role. We have a
lot of responsibility for patients to record maintenance,
performance reporting. As an incharge person for one department and
responsible for nurses working there. Being an informal leader
needs to communicate with a higher level of management for the
daily management process.
Formal leadership takeover various position like director, chairperson, President(Eg.Nurse manager)
Informal leadership can control and change the person role(eg, nurse in-charge, coordinator, nurse leader)
They change nurses behavior, attitude by interaction with all the staff. they are not officially appointed as the head of the group.
Advanced practice registered nurse is a development process of transformal leadership. This leadership as a formal and informal focus on quality and valuable care providers for patients and professionals.
The advanced practice nurse is an integral part of the practice team with a specific operation area and leadership team. Formal and informal leaders with high skills and knowledge with advanced practice they help mentor other senior staffs and providing peer interactions and support.
