True or False and explain your answer

leaders should avoid empowering employees.

Empowering leaders try to support employees who make honest mistakes.

There is little, if any, difference between delegation and empowerment.

In fluid situations, it is not necessary to clarify exactly who has decision authority over every type of issue.

In middle management position, leaders should spend as much time completing routine tasks as they do discussing goals and progress toward goals.

When delegating a new assignment to a trained employee, it is better for the manager to stay closely involved until he/she can be sure the employee understands.

At its basic level, empowerment is simply the assignment of tasks.

Empowered employees actually make a lot of decisions.

Effective leaders are quick to tell employees exactly how to resolve issues.

When managers empower employees, they are no longer responsible for mistakes that employees may make.

1) False.

Leaders should actually need to empower the employees as this would help to build trust and the leader would be more trusted by the managers and subordinates than those leaders who don't like to empower their employees. Employees may also get inspired and motivated easily and they try to achieve their targets effectively.

2) False.

It is incorrect as honest mistakes are bound to happen mostly where there is more employee empowerment. When leaders empower their employees, they may not prefer mistakes as they are always controlling their employees. Whereas employees who have the empowerment, makes mistakes and learn from them and gets support and positive feedbacks from leaders regarding their mistakes. This help them to correct their mistakes without any negative reinforcement.

3) False.

This statement is not correct as as there is a much bigger difference between delegation and empowerment. Deligating is simply assigning of tasks and duties to the employees whereas empowerment is giving the authority and power to the employees so they can assign and fulfill their works by themselves. Empowerment involves innovation.

Hope this helps :)
