1. Jurisdiction is power assigned by law to the courts to decide on legal cases falling within their respective areas. It is very important as without jurisdiction, The courts can not decide on legal cases, in fact, there will be no clarity that which legal case will come in which court.

2. General jurisdiction court in Washington state - Washington Supreme Court.

3. Trial court in Federal system in USA - District court. (United States District Courts).
