I made a class called CartItem that held the item quantity and price. Now i need to make a class that puts the cart items into a shopping cart class. I am having trouble making a function to read items from a file into the shopping cart. this is how it is worded.
Then calls the function readItemsFromFile // readItemsFromFile has the filename and the ShoppingCart object passed into it
// Function readItemsFromFile opens the file that was passed in and makes sure it opened correctly .if it doesn't open correctly, it will exit the program. The function should then read the information from the file, create an object of the CartItem class, and then put the object into the cart that was passed in
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
class CartItem{
public:
string quantity;
int price;
};
class ShoppingCart : public CartItem{
public :
string quantity;
int price;
public:
void readItemsFromFile(CartItem item){
this->quantity=item.quantity;
this->price=item.price;
}
};
int main(){
CartItem obj;
/*example
obj.quantity="kiran";
obj.price=67;
*/
ShoppingCart obj2;
obj2.readItemsFromFile(obj);
cout<<obj2.price;
return 0;
}
