Answer #1

Answer:- As per the Miles and Snow's strategy typology, they came up with the business level strategies which are divided into four different classes namely prospector, defender, analyzer, and reactor with moderate emphasis on innovation.

A prospector can be seen as an innovative and growth-focused organizational structure while looking for the new markets and try to find out the different opportunities for the growth and development and there is a lot of impetus and boost for the risk-taking abilities.

On the other hand, a defender is one which always looks to protect their existing markets, try to sustain its stable market growth and mainly focuses on serving the existing customers.

The main focus of the analyzer remains on sustaining the existing market and existing customers to be satisfied and there is very little focus on innovation.T here is hardly any well defined and clear strategy with the reactor and these mainly react to the different environmental changes and flow with the different events.

The concepts which were facilitated in this methodology are mainly significant only when all the initiatives which are performed by the organization are striving for the given desired outcomes.

Answer:- matrix organizational structures should be used when:-

When a very large and trivial project has to be managed.

When there are shared resources in the organization

When sharing the information and communication is free and independent

When experts from different areas and fields are required in a   given project

When the sharing of highly skilled resources is feasible among the different departments
