Very interesting question but it has very basic answer. We know that current source is always connected across parallel resistor and voltage source with series resistor. Now when current source is in parallel with resistor it dissipates heat as current is flowing continuosly into resistor, therefore it will be warm when we touch. But in voltage source there is no such things happen, therefore this device is not warm. By touching both boxes we can find warmer box is of current source and colder box is of voltage source.
